iTherm® Sprue Bushing

iTherm® Sprue bushing is produced using tool steel forged or rolled blocks and HTS proprietary additive manufacturing technology.

It is a single body component with equal mechanical properties as tool steel monoblock.

Cooling channels can be freely designed according to the cooling/heating requirements of the product, not by the limitations of using the conventional drilling method.

It is highly customizable to specific customer requirements.

HTS DIFFERENCE

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY

Based on MFT™ and DED technologies we produce components with conformal cooling / flow design and mechanical properties of a forged tool steel block.

SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE

iTherm® components have a big impact on cooling and material flow, resulting in shorter cycle times, higher cast/moulded part quality and subsequentially also productivity.

SOLUTION ORIENTED

Years of experience and R&D of HTS Group companies, combined with leading OEM customer partnerships gives us knowledge and capacity to help you improve your productivity.

Advantages over conventional sprue bushing

Having cooling channels

In comparison with conventionally made sprue bushing, iTherm® Sprue bushing gives you the possibility to have cooling channels and use conformal cooling to optimize sprue performance.

Faster sprue bushing cooling rate

In comparison with conventionally made steel or cooper sprue bushing, using iTherm® Sprue bushing, the heat is distributed much more even across its surface.

No temperature-related sprue sticking

In comparison with conventionally made sprue bushing, using iTherm® Sprue bushing you eliminate temperature-related sprue sticking because of a faster cooling rate.

Cycle time decrease

Combining the advantages of iTherm® Sprue bushing you can significantly shorten cycle time. Our customers have reported up to 25% shorter cycle times when replacing conventional sprue with iTherm® sprue.
